The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
Going Here 's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture with low profile which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.

It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you whether the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market and comes with many extra features that distinguish it from. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's a wealth of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning process, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
